Christopher Montgomery -- A&E Television Network
"Roane may deny any direct knowledge of factual circumstances similar to those described in THE DELPHINUS CHRONICLES, but his affiliation with various intelligence agencies would suggest otherwise. This book is a must read for anyone interested in [SETI] the search for extraterrestrial intelligence. THE DELPHINUS CHRONICLES is a brilliant, literary masterpiece...a real page turner."

Dead Trees Review
"This book is an excellent thriller--a gem of a story.  It will certainly get the reader thinking about a lot of things.  Highly recommended."

Karri Watson -- Curled Up With a Good Book
"The Delphinus Chronicles transports readers to a world similar to our own -- until the communication between an advanced supercomputer and some dolphins in a tank next door begins. Humans find this out by the computer translating the bleeps and squeaks into English and spitting out printouts. The students begin asking the dolphins innocuous questions and culminate in asking how humankind began.

The answer is a brilliant part of the complex and fascinating plot. While there are those who might be offended by the answer the dolphins give, they are not the type of people who would be reading good science fiction, anyway. And this is very good science fiction.

While the humans take a distinct back seat to the computer, Simon, and the dolphins, their characters are aptly written and given enough personality to stand alone. The pacing of the storyline is excellent. In fact, you might just finish this book in one sitting. There are passages of graphic but not gratuitous violence that serve to reinforce the jeopardy in which the humans find themselves.

In sum, The Delphinus Chronicles is a speculative fiction reader’s best friend. Give it a read; you will be glad that you did."

Timothy I. McDougall -- Ticonderoga Online
"The ideas that R. G. Roane feeds to us  in The Delphinus Chronicles hooks and draws the reader into the action before reeling us deep into the plot of this fast paced action novel. The gratifying conclusion leaves us with just the right amount of unanswered questions to continue to spark the imagination.  A hardcover first edition in your hand is a beautiful thing.  It is a pleasure to hold and read while drinking a nice warming brandy or port in readiness for the winter nights ahead here in Australia."

David Brown -- RebeccasReads
"What an engaging read!  What a memorable subject!  I am truly impressed. The Delphinus Chronicles grabs you by the short hairs & drags you headlong into suppositions about our world that are both new & truly exciting.  Mr. Roane has produced what, in my estimation & with proper acknowledgement, will become a classic. I devoured The Delphinus Chronicles at one sitting, I could not put it down! I had to know more. I found it deeply absorbing & fun, all in the same read."

Bobbi Duffy -- Yet Another Book Review
"The Delphinus Chronicles is a sterling example of imagination and techno-knowledge wedded to create a great story, wonderfully executed.  Roane is certainly a new and promising voice in the genre.  Fast moving and easy to read, Roane entices the reader to turn the next page before the reader has finished the one before it.  His technique is wonderful and his writing crisp and fast paced.  The lack of techno-jargon is refreshing.   I can’t wait for Roane’s next novel, and I hope I don’t have to wait too long."

Detra Fitch -- Huntress Reviews
"Cabrillo University in San Diego was granted Simon, the world's most powerful super-computer, for their experiment No one could have foreseen the unintended consequences that would follow! After all, humans are not the only intelligent species on this planet. This is an astounding novel that I found hard to put down. Every time I believed nothing else could happen to surprise me I was proven wrong. Highly recommended reading!"

Scott Baughman -- The Blacksburg Times (SC)
"The Delphinus Chronicles may be the first novel ever written by RG Roane, but it certainly delivers dramatic tension like the works of many experienced storytellers.  Roane demonstrates a mastery of subtle terror using a Hitchcock-like technique of "fear of the unknown" that is spine chillingly effective. If you're a fan of the X-files, you're going to love the underlying ideas of this story.  I am quite an x-phile myself so I couldn't put the book down."

SFBooks2Go.com -- Anna
"This book is written with style and panache, speed and dexterity and grips the reader from the first, the characters are vibrant and you can’t help liking or disliking them from the start, which is the writers intention superbly executed, the story goes like the clappers and you have to keep up, no time to think just go with the flow."

SFBooks2Go.com -- Evie
"I liked his writing style, it had me reading it in one go, this author has the skill and technique to rival the best of them...we cannot wait for his next book."

Aphra Black -- Aphra's Science Fiction & Fantasy Library
"This is no ordinary Science Fiction novel.  Realistic, unstilted conversation, plenty of action, the hint of authorial knowledge beyond that of a mere civilian all provide a unique vehicle for such cosmically challenging themes as the history of Man, the future of technology, the secrets of the ocean and the enigmas of the universe. An ambitious precept,  masterfully executed.  The result is a thoroughly enjoyable, stylish, pacy, and highly intriguing reading experience. Big questions, daring answers, and a message from the dolphins that we ignore at our peril."

Kathy Boswell -- Managing Editor, The Best Book Reviews
"This book was just simply WOW!  I was so intrigued that I read it in one sitting.  While this is a work of Science Fiction, it was told in such a way as to be believable. The characters seem real and the concept a bit scary in that it hits a bit too close to home.  This book definitely captured and held my attention throughout. There is non-stop nail biting action and adventure on each and every page.  For fans of realistic Science Fiction tales, I highly recommend this one!"

Harriet Klausner -- Harriet Klausner Reviews
"The Delphinus Chronicles is a superb science fiction thriller that never slows down from the moment Simon checkmates the world's greatest grandmaster to the climax. The story line is loaded with intrigue, action, but especially insightful powerful relationships between people, humans and Simon, dolphins and Simon, and the world wide web of sonically connected dolphins so that the key cast including the supercomputer seem real. RG Roane deserves strong accolades and a vast appreciative audience for this winning novel."

Bryn Colvin -- Bryn Colvin Reviews
"The Delphinus Chronicles is a fast paced novel full of twists and turns laced with action, history and science fiction. This is an extremely readable book, with the science very palatable and the concepts easy to grasp.  Author R.G. Roane pits the good intentions and humanity of his students and teachers against a harsh world full of those bent on destruction and who have some startling secrets to keep hidden. A pleasing story, well told."

Viviane Crystal -- Crystal Reviews
"But that I am forbid to tell the secrets of my prison house, I could a tale unfold whose lightest word would harrow up thy soul, freeze thy young blood." This Shakespearean quote begins and most aptly describes this tale that slowly evolves from a most simple to sinister, tightly drawn science fiction thriller.  Predictions abound in the world of science fiction! Our fascination hovers as we watch and wait for yesterday's wildest imaginings to become today's experience. But some of history shouldn't ever be revealed, for it poses a nightmare too hideous to endure - and there are those who will do anything to stop such learning and communication. The story is rich in setting each step of the stage for Ross, his staff, and the reader. No one will be the same thereafter.

This reviewer eagerly applauds R. G. Roane's creative presentation to a wider, listening audience."

Chrissi -- Booklore
"It is a very eloquent book...I was so enchanted by the development of the relationship with the dolphins.  I would heartily recommend this book to anyone, it is really quite an intriguing idea that RG Roane has come up with, and it left me with a really nice feeling."

Edward Vincent -- Oak Park Journal
"The Delphinus Chronicles is a mysterious science fiction saga where layer on layer add as the story unfolds.  The characters come alive as the plot thickens and you are even captivated by the super-computer!  If you have ever lived through college you will like the unsettling nature of Delphinus Chronicles.  The end will surprise you, and perhaps leave you  feeling hopeful that some fiction will find its way to reality."

Gregory Dolnack -- The Storyteller's Archive
"It's easy to follow, and it's easy to identify with the characters; it also manages to achieve a level of detail that helps put the "science" into science-fiction.  That puts The Delphinus Chronicles in rare company, indeed."
